Core capability
Sixty days of production on the route
From 11 July to 9 September 2026, 95 creators ran 374 Wan 2.7 Spicy image-to-video jobs. 322 finished (86%), zero were stopped by content safety, and the 52 failures were provider-side errors or timeouts that were refunded. Median render time was 139 seconds. The average quote was about 2,000 credits, because most creators chose 1080p and 10 or 15 seconds. The route does exactly one thing and has never refused it.
What the form exposes
A single start-frame slot, a prompt, resolution at 720p or 1080p, and duration at 2, 5, 10 or 15 seconds. There is no end frame, no audio, no reference slots and no text-only mode; those live on Wan 3.0. The eta shown in Studio is one to two minutes. Because the pipeline is image-conditioned, the still carries identity, outfit and lighting for the whole clip and the prompt only has to supply motion and camera.
Prompts that use the route well
Subject in three words, then motion, then camera, then light: “she kneels on the bed, slow arch of the back, hands sliding up her thighs, camera orbiting a quarter turn, warm bedside lamp.” Keep to one or two actions per 5 seconds; a 15-second clip can hold four. State positives rather than negatives. If the still is a tight portrait, avoid asking for full-body motion the frame cannot show; the model will zoom out and invent the rest.
Versions and current access
Wan 2.7 Spicy image-to-video is available in Makeartly Studio now alongside the standard Wan 2.7 and Wan 3.0 routes; the CTA opens the Wan family picker so you can select it.
Evidence
Wan 2.7 Spicy against its neighbours
Production window: the 21 days to 9 September 2026 unless a 60-day window is named. Rates are rounded down. Wan 2.2 Spicy: 16,059 jobs, 98% finished, zero review stops, median 44 seconds, quote under 200 credits; short silent loops. Wan 2.7 Spicy: 1080p and up to 15 seconds, zero review stops, roughly ten times the quote. Wan 3.0: up to 30 seconds with audio and references, 94% finished, 2.2% review stops. Pick 2.2 for volume, 2.7 Spicy for quality explicit clips up to 15 seconds, 3.0 when the brief needs sound, length or several references.
Deployment filtering and adult-content boundaries
Makeartly does not add a separate mainstream adult-content refusal layer for verified adult creators; this deployment-level statement does not mean the upstream official model is uncensored or guarantee prompt acceptance. Adult workflows are for adults only. CSAM and all under-18 sexual content are prohibited. Consent and likeness authorization are required, and non-consensual intimate content, unauthorized real-person deepfakes, and sexual impersonation are prohibited.
Getting the cost down
The quote depends on resolution and duration. A 5-second 720p run is the cheap check; 1080p at 15 seconds is the expensive final. Do not render 15 seconds until the 5-second version moves the way you want. If you only need a loop, Wan 2.2 Spicy at a fraction of the price is the better tool. Every failed run returns its credits, so the 14% of jobs that hit provider errors cost time rather than balance.
Use cases
You want a 15-second explicit 1080p clip from one still with no risk of a review stop
This is the route: zero content-safety stops in 374 jobs over 60 days.
You want dozens of 5-second loops for a feed
Use Wan 2.2 Spicy instead; the quote is far lower and the median render is 44 seconds.
- Open Studio, choose the Wan family and select the Wan 2.7 Spicy image-to-video route.
- Upload a sharp still of a fictional adult character framed the way you want the clip framed.
- Write a motion-first prompt with one or two actions per 5 seconds.
- Run 5 seconds at 720p; if the motion is right, re-run at 1080p and the length you need.
- Move to Wan 3.0 only if the brief needs audio, an end frame, several references or more than 15 seconds.
Limitations and decision checks
Acceptance test at 720p for 5 seconds
Make the 720p 5-second render the acceptance test, compare the face with the still at full size, stop if the model drifted or zoomed out, and choose a better-framed still before paying for 1080p at 15 seconds.
The route never refuses, which means a bad input produces a bad clip rather than an error. Image-to-video only: There is no text-to-video, no audio and no reference mode on this route. Briefs that need them belong on Wan 3.0.
